Our Mission

The Christian Safeguarding Centre exists to support Christian churches, schools, and faith-based organisations in creating safer environments for all. Membership connects you to a network committed to safeguarding, offering practical support, shared learning, and access to resources that help you put safeguarding into practice with confidence.

Christian Safeguarding Centre why become a member
Why Join? A Theological Conviction

Safeguarding is more than a policy—it is a reflection of God’s heart. From the beginning, God entrusted humanity with the responsibility to “work and take care of” creation (Genesis 2:15). The Hebrew word Shamar (שָׁמַר) conveys active vigilance, protection, and faithful stewardship.

In practical terms, this means nurturing what is good, protecting those who are vulnerable, and upholding justice. By committing to safeguarding, Christian organisations participate in God’s work of stewardship, creating communities where children, young people, and all members can learn, grow, and flourish safely.

Commit to Creating a Safe Environment

Membership of the Christian Safeguarding Centre is free, reflecting the conviction that every Christian organisation should be equipped to protect the vulnerable without financial barriers.

Joining is an invitation to commit to a safe and responsible environment and to uphold high safeguarding standards across all areas of your ministry or service.
